While looking at E28 5ers in my neck of the woods in response to AeroPrairie’s !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I stumbled upon !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Considering that a running E28, even a rough one, will usually run around $2-3k, for $500 you might be willing to put up with having to buy a set of wheels. Oh, and a rebuilt title. Which is lost.

And there is quite clearly a bong and a lighter sitting on the trunk in the picture, which might help explain why the title got lost in the first place. So let’s call this one “Nice Price or Hash Pipe.”

Anyone else have bright ideas on the cheapest way to get yourself into a classic, or at least into project car hell?

Fuck, I hope these don’t start rising in price any time soon. I could go on and on about why they make the perfect project cars.

Found this a few days ago. It’s crazy clean for 1800 bucks. But I guess most people would say it has the wrong engine. http://eauclaire.craigslist.org/cto/5082368630…

Pretty good for $1800! There’s a pretty good one near me , too, for the (similar) price—but with the other “wrong engine.” But it’s brown, and manual, so there’s that.
